Our national political culture incites division. Distrust has dug deep into the consciousness of citizens in this nation of ours. Many Americans who are not uniformly conservative or liberal are frustrated with politics. They want politicians to negotiate common sense solutions to urgent issues. Many contend their votes don’t count, a de facto form of disenfranchisement.
