The conference kicks off with Bob Allen from Oakland-based Urban Habit and Watsonville Mayor Francisco Estrada to consider What is Transportation Justice?

Christopher Escárcega from Climate Plan will discuss closing the gap between our state’s transportation policy and its climate goals.

Cathy DeLuca from Livable City in San Francisco will discuss what it takes to have complete neighborhoods (jobs, housing, services, recreation).

Peter Bennett, engineer for the City of San José, will describe that City’s innovative protected bike lane project.

Jeff Wood, host of Talking Headways, will discuss what other communities of similar size have done to build an effective transit network.
