Intro to Canvassing Workshops | Help Increase Voter Turnout!

The mid-term elections are less than three months away, and we — Santa Cruz Indivisible (SCI) and Swing Left Santa Cruz — are building our forces to flip the Congress from red to blue in the midterm elections. If you are interested in increasing progressive voter turnout in districts that are currently Republican, SCI is offering Introduction to Canvassing workshops where you’ll learn everything you want and need to know about canvassing. The workshop will cover the basics of canvassing, effective canvassing communication skills, and role-playing. If you have concerns about knocking on doors and talking to strangers, this is the class for you! You will leave this workshop with the tools and confidence you need to be an effective canvasser.

Between now and the November election, we are offering four sessions of the workshop: Sept 15, Oct 6, Oct 13, and Oct 20.

Check out the  Workshops on the Events Calendar (will go to another page on this website) for more information and signup for the workshops.

At each Introduction to Canvassing workshop, we’ll provide information about transportation, carpools, and meet-up locations for the upcoming canvassing events in nearby flippable districts CA10, CA21 and CA22.

From now until November, Santa Cruz Indivisible will continue to coordinate and guide you to canvassing events in CA10, CA21 and CA22 where you can really make a difference. And in the final week before the election, we will coordinate multi-day get-out-the-vote events where your canvassing skills and experience will serve you well.

Register NOW for one of the absolutely free Introduction to Canvassing workshops. The previous workshops “sold out” in less than two days!
